Josephine Klawon advises on intellectual property law, competition law and copyright law. Her particular strength lies in the precise analysis of complex issues and the development of practical, strategic solutions for her clients. She combines legal precision with a keen sense of economic contexts and attaches great importance to structured, reliable and comprehensible communication.
She handles national and international trademark and design protection rights, advises on competition law and copyright law, conducts opposition and cancellation proceedings, and drafts licence and cooperation agreements. Her approach to her work is characterised by her eye for the big picture as well as for details.
After studying law in Leipzig, Josephine Klawon completed her legal training, including placements at the Saxon State Ministry for Economic Affairs, Labour and Transport and at a law firm specialising in art and sports law in Düsseldorf, where she gained her first experience in intellectual property law.
At the same time, Ms Klawon is deepening her knowledge in an LL.M. programme in intellectual property law at the Technical University of Dresden with a master’s thesis on ‘Greenwashing in competition law’.
Josephine Klawon joins Battke Grünberg’s ‘Green Team’. She brings with her extensive experience in trademark and design law as well as competition and copyright law and shares the firm’s interest in providing responsible and forward-looking legal advice.
Aiming high. In her free time, Josephine Klawon seeks balance in exercise and nature – climbing, road cycling or hiking. Dresden quickly won her over with its proximity to Saxon Switzerland and its combination of city life and countryside.
